It was only when his leg cramped that Sawyer realised just how much distance there was between him and the beach. As he sank beneath the waves his last thought was that this was a shitty way to die.
The next thing he was aware of was his chest burning and someone’s lips were upon his. His eyes shot open. It was Jack. Great, now he owed the doc one.
“Are you ok?”
There was genuine concern in his eyes and that just made Sawyer want to push him away. He didn’t need anyone’s pity.
“Did you enjoy kissing me?”
