“You know,” Sawyer said sleepily when Kate stirred in his arms, “I used to love the zoo when I was a kid. Never imagined I’d be in one myself one day though.”
Kate laughed and nuzzled her face in his chest. “My dad used to take me all the time when I was little. I used to like the zebras. How about you?”
“My mama used to take me. I always wanted to see the lions.”
Kate smiled. “So your favourite animal likes to eat mine, huh? That figures.”
Sawyer leaned down to kiss her. “Yeah, I reckon it does.”
