I know, you were probably going for angst so my first reaction will annoy you. I went "Awwwww" over this. I love how Lex was ready to help Clark with his lack of powers and how he accepted that Clark had to lie instead of adding to Clark's problems.
And Lex faced the wrath of Lana...it has to be true love. ;)
