You know, with Lisa getting her memories erased and all that, I'd have to say this fits right into a supernatural storyline. If I wouldn't hope so much for Cas to come back permanently, this could really be a way the writers might let it happen.- like apeasing the masses by keeping Castiel alife but writing him out of the show nonetheless - future comeback optional.
