Buffy hovered in the doorway and watched as Spike busied himself pulling various things out of the cupboard and laying them out on the kitchen counter.
“What’re you doing?”
“Thought I’d make some lemonade for you and Dawn since it’s so bloody hot. I’m glad I don’t feel it.”
Buffy smiled and walked over to join him. “Can I help? I made lemonade on parent/teacher night. The first night we me, remember.”
“Not going to forget that one in a hurry. Still got the dent in my head where your mum hit me. Pass the sugar would you, love?”
