Title: The Balance of Love and Hate
Author: [livejournal.com profile] hils and [livejournal.com profile] notsowise_sage
Rating: PG
Fandom: Tranformers
Pairing: Optimus Prime/Megatron and a whole bunch of others
Summary: Sometimes hatred breeds love

"Oh Megatron..." sighed Optimus

The leader of the Decepticons could only lie there and bask in the glory of their lovemaking. Something so inherently wrong had never felt so right. "No on can know of this, Optimus. No one."

"There could be peace," Optimus said, excited at the prospect of another life, "You and I... we could..."

"NO! We cannot. Whatever you think this is, it never happened." Megatron turned his head away, refusing to look Optimus in the eyes. "This can never be any more than this moment. You are foolish if you think otherwise."

"Megatron!" Optimus called out, as Megatron got up from the parking bay. "Don't you see - you and me... You can claim it never happened, but we shared something... I felt your power, you felt mine. Let us end this eternal battle between us, let there be peace. You love me, I know you do"

Megatron glanced over his shoulder before walking away. "I don't love anyone."

"Noooo! It's all so stupid!" Optimus banged his fist on the ground as Megatron walked away.
Megatron heard the words but ignored them as he faded into the darkness. Maybe it was stupid, but he preferred the coldness of hatred to the warmth of love. It was just easier that way.

"Star Scream, get over here. You've failed me for the last time. Don't fail me again, now we will destroy the autobots forever", Megatron called out of his comm. As his minions scurried around him, doing his bidding, Megatron pushed aside the sick feeling at what he was about to do. Star Scream flew round, absent mindedly, his own sick feeling all to prominent in his mind. His mind lingered on the brief moments he'd spent with Bumblebee, the long touch of his articulated fingers, designed to carress triggers with ease, certainly had carressed all of Starscream's right triggers. Now they were going to war, again. Megatron was such a tiresome bore. He wished he had the courage to stand up to Megatron but he knew he never would. Some were born leaders and others were followes. Star Scream was the latter. He just had to hope Bumblebee wouldn't suffer in his final moments

Meanwhile, Barricade was sharpening his weapons, and charging his pulse weapons. It was time to get even with Ratchett, that bitch! He'd pay for spurning him.

Back at the Autobot base camp, Ratchett was busy playing with code. A burning desire fuelled his efforts to correct the Decepticons programming. Fix it, so he could finally end this war, and gain the thing he most wanted in this world.

"Jazz, Ratchett, Bumblebee, Ironhide - I fear the Decepticons will attack us again," Optimus Prime said with a heavy sigh.

"Finally, I can test my new ten inch cannon," Ironhide said, activating his new gun.

"Put that thing away, man," Jazz exclaimed, "We've all seen and played with it already. Save it for the Decepticon scum".

Bumblebee figetted nervously, uneasy with the turn of this meeting. He was thankful when Optimus interceded.

"Enough! Both of you! We must make plans. Megatron..." Optimus froze, he could feel something close to breaking inside of him. He hated what he was about to say, about to do, " We must protect ourselves, and that means ending Meg... the Decepticons forever."

Bumblebee stepped back suddenly, aghast at was happening. Everyone's eyes turned on him, but only Optimus' made contact, just briefly, in that brief moment, they both knew each shared the others dread. Felt the connection, as events pushed them into a devastating climax of death and destruction, where each only wanted to feel love.

"There may be another way, Optimus", Ratchett said, breaking the awkward silence that had befallen the group. "As you know the only difference between us and the Decepticons..." Ratchett paused as Ironhide growled in disgust, "You especially Ironhide," Ratchett bit back at Ironhide's brutal intolerance. "The only difference between them and us is they have a flaw in their programming. I have a virus that can fix that floor, that can make them like us, make them feel like us, make them... well it will just make them better."

Optimus grabbed Ratchett, "Really? Is this true? Can their be brotherhood with the Decepticons? Can there be peace, and dare I say..." he paused, overwhelmed at the possibility, "love?"

"I believe so, I hope so," Ratchett said, feeling his pneumatics pumping faster at the thought of his beloved. Bonecrusher. He felt dizzy, like some had fired twenty-four thousand megajoules through his battery.

"Do it, you fool. If we can end this now, then..."

"I'm on it Optimus, we'll have to deliver it. It can only be passed from the sensors in our lips."

Ironhide nearly fell backwards, "We've got to kiss the Decepticons? Are you mad?!?!" He screamed, trying to cover his own excitement. For all his strength, all his girth, he had a soft spot for that little scamp Frenzy.

Two hours later, the Decepticons were speeding their way towards the Autobot base. Megatron called out, "None of you fail me! I will destroy anyone that runs, anyone that gives in. We finish this, once and for all. Today is the end of the Autobots."

TBC..?

*wild giggles* I wish I had all of my old transformer toys. lol. I'd get them out and have them all make-out. :-P I love that they have to kiss them with the sensors in their lips (I've totally got the hiccups now from prolonged giggling).
This was fun. :-)
And TBC? Cool! Will we get to see Ironhide use his ten inch cannon? Hee!

Oh you simply must continue with this. The virus must be passed through kissing *giggles* Yeah, the idea of Transformers slash is funny but there's a lot more to this than crack. This is great.
