The crystal glittered and sparkled in the dim light of the barn, its light reflecting in Clark’s eyes as he turned it around and around with reverence.
“I don’t understand,” Lana frowned. “What does having your mother’s DNA mean?”
“It means I can get her back.” Clark whispered, his eyes never leaving the light of the crystal.
“What?” Lana asked with surprise. “Clark, you’re not making any sense.”
He carefully put the crystal back in the box and slipped it back in the hole in the floor. “Lana, do you love me?”
“Of course I do,” she replied without a moment's hesitation. “How can you even ask that?”
“Because I want you to carry the baby.”
Her eyes widened in shock. “What?”
“It’s not going to be an easy pregnancy,” Clark continued, ignoring her question. “Kryptonians are strong, but I know you can do this. Please, Lana. Help me get my mom back. Just think. We can have our own family just like we used to talk about.”
“That was a long time ago,” Lana replied gently. “We were only children ourselves. Clark, you have to understand that this won’t work. I can’t carry an alien baby.”
“Are you saying you won’t help me?” Clark’s eyes glittered dangerously.
“It’s not that I don’t want to,” Lana replied. “You know I’d do anything for you but I can’t do this. Especially after what Lex did to me. Can’t you see that?”
“No, I can’t. I’ll just have to ask someone that I know will help me.”
“Wait, Clark. Let’s talk about this.”
He was gone before she’d finished talking.

Lex stared at Clark from behind his desk. “Do I even need to tell you how many things are wrong with what you are asking me to do?”
Clark, eyes wide with desperation, moved over to Lex’s desk and dropped to his knees. “Please, Lex. I know you can do this. You’ve done it before. If you ever cared for me at all, please help me do this.”
Lex closed his eyes for a moment before rising to his feet. “Clark, it’s not an issue of whether it can be done or not. I have scientists that can make this happen. It’s just…why does the baby need a human to carry it to term? All my other clones survived being grown in the lab.”
Clark shook his head. “No, I want it to be done properly. Please, Lex.”
A small smile quirked on Lex’s face and he offered his hand to Clark, pulling him to his feet. “If this works it could revolutionize the future of gay couples.”
Clark looked stricken. “Lex…”
“Don’t worry, your name will be kept out of this, but this is something that needs to be shared with people if it works. You have to give me that, Clark.”
Clark finally nodded.
“Well, I’d better start looking at getting some paternity clothes made.”

What should have happened was Lana to die during the impregnation (non-sexual of course), then he goes to Lex, and they become Papa, and Papa to Clark's mother...
It's wrong on so many levels

I actually like your idea better so maybe it's YOU who has gone off the deep end ;)

I never go off the deep end - I just make the shallow gutter look deeper than it is ;)

It would be the perfect parallel to the baby-fake in terms of cracked-out wrongness.

My brain on crack is clearly not a good thing ;)

Though why couldn't Clark carry the baby? Or Kara? Since they have Kryptonian biology and super-strong innerds.
Okay, now you're making me wonder if this is coming up on the show. Maybe we should be grateful for the timing of the writer's strike.
