“This is seriously how you want to settle this?” Angel asked incredulously.
Spike shrugged. “Can’t think of any other way to resolve this, can you?”
“What happened to a good old fight to the death?”
“You really think Buffy would forgive the winner for killing the other one?”
“Yeah, you’re right.”
“Ok,” Spike said with grim determination in his eyes. “We’re agreed that whoever wins this gets Buffy and the other will stay out of it.”
“Agreed.”
“Ok, on three. One. Two. Three. Go!”
They stared at the space between them. Then Spike grinned. “Paper beats rock. I win.”
“Damn.”
