“Are you in love with Jack?”

Sawyer began to choke, his face turning such an alarming shade that Kate almost ran to get Jack. However Sawyer’s face soon regained its usual complexion

“What the hell are you talking about, Freckles?”

Kate shrugged. “You’re always trying to get to him. I thought it was some kind of sexual thing.”

“In the Doc’s dreams!” Sawyer retorted. “Or possibly in yours.”

Kate blushed. “Hey, I was just asking.”

“Well, now you know.”

He smiled, his eyes lingering just a little longer than they should and Kate realised she’d known the answer all along.

anyway, wow, um. pretty great drabble. i can't believe you got not one, but two of my favorite lost pairings in there. that's rather impressive. :D

'twas quite funny and cute. and i love the final line... *sigh*
