It didn’t take supersenses for Clark to tell that Oliver Queen was drunk. If the line of glasses on the bar didn’t give it away the smell certainly did. Oliver looked at him, grunted, and knocked back another shot.

“Don’t you think you’ve had enough?” Clark asked carefully.

“No,” Oliver replied as he poured himself another drink.

“Come on Oliver, you need to stop.” He laid a gentle hand on Oliver’s arm and flinched when he jerked away from him.

“I’m just toasting the happy couple.” As Oliver raised the glass Clark snatched it away.

“Ok, you need to stop this. Lois and I aren’t engaged. We were working undercover to try and find Chloe and we had to pose as a couple.”

That, at least, got Oliver to stop for a moment but only as he motioned to the bartender and ordered a bottle of Scotch.

“Oliver…”

“Either join me for a drink or go away,” Oliver was drinking directly from the bottle now, and Clark could tell from the way the bartender was looking at them that they were one step away from getting kicked out. He took a seat next to Oliver and ordered a glass of water.

“That’s not exactly what I had in mind,” Oliver observed with a wry smile as Clark’s glass was placed in front of him.

“Look, I know you’re upset about what me and Lois did but it was the only way we could find Chloe. I’m sorry I didn’t have time to tell you first.”

“Yeah, you seem to be falling into the habit of not telling me things,” Oliver scoffed as he took another drink.

Clark closed his eyes and sighed. He’d known that this conversation was going to come up again at some point but he’d hoped it would be later. Much later, and when Oliver was sober.

“Why don’t we talk about this somewhere else,” he suggested quietly. “Let me take you home.”

“How about we talk about it right here and now,” Oliver said, his voice getting louder. “You know, there was a time when I wanted you to grow up and start taking control of your life. Now I’m starting to miss the quiet, unassuming farm boy. What gave you the right to decide whether I should know the truth about what happened to my parents?”

Clark sighed. “I’ve already said I’m sorry about that. I was worried about what you’d do to Lionel if you found out.”

“Yeah,” Oliver laughed bitterly, “because not telling me really worked out for Lionel, didn’t it? Murdered by his own son.”

Clark reacted without thinking about it, pulling Oliver into his arms and whisking the both of them away from the bar in the blink of an eye. Luckily the barman was distracted by another customer and the rest of the bar was mostly deserted.

They were back at the farm, standing in the living room to be more precise. Clark carefully set Oliver down on his feet.

“I’m sorry, Oliver, but I couldn’t let you talk about Lex like that in public. Someone who works for Luthorcorp might have been listening and…”

He stopped when he realised Oliver wasn’t even listening to him. He was just stood there staring at Clark with wide eyes.

“Oliver? Are you ok?”

More alarming than the way Oliver was staring at him was the shade of green Oliver’s face had gone. A second past and Oliver bolted out of the front door and even from where he was standing Clark could hear Oliver being violently sick in the front yard. He sighed and filled a glass of water before heading out to join Oliver on the porch,

“Here,” he said, handing the glass to Oliver.

Oliver simply nodded and took the glass from him, using half the water to rinse out his mouth and the other half he drank.

“Are you ok?” Clark asked. Taking care of his drunken friends was getting to be a habit.

“No,” Oliver sighed. “I don’t think I am. I should have known you were lying. You suck at lying.”

Clark couldn’t deny it.

“I really am sorry, Oliver. I know you care about Lois and…”

He stopped when he realised Oliver was chuckling.

“You think this is about Lois?” Oliver asked after a moment, still chuckling to himself.

Now Clark was confused. “Well, isn’t it?”

Oliver smiled. “Wow, you really as obtuse as they say you are.”

“Oliver what are you talking about?”

He was shocked into silence when Oliver kissed him.

“I thought that once Lex disappeared I’d finally be in with a chance. Seeing you with Lois just…I couldn’t stand it.”

“Oliver…I…you…”

Oliver smiled at him. “You’re not very eloquent for someone who writes for a living.”

“I don’t understand,” Clark finally managed to say. “How long have you felt this way?”

“Does it matter?” Oliver asked. “Come on, Clark, it makes perfect sense. You’re amazing. How could anyone not love you?”

Clark could feel his mouth hanging open, leaving him gaping like an idiot but he couldn’t seem to get control of himself.

“You love me?” He finally managed to whisper.

Oliver smiled and kissed him again.

This time Clark kissed him back.

The End.

Hehe!!! Yeah, I don't think I'd have been able to write it if I didn't like Ollie.

Now I've written Ollie with Lex and Ollie with Clark. Let us never speak of this again ;)
