From the back of the dimly lit, smoky bar she watched him. She watched as he poured out his heart, his soul in a way that almost allowed her to see it glowing inside him.
As he spoke his words she wondered how she had never seen this romantic side of him before. Maybe she just hadn’t wanted to. But there was something different about him tonight. He was…what was the word he’d used? Effulgent. She wasn’t entirely sure what it meant but it just seemed right
His poems finished and she walked towards him, a smile on her face.
