“Of course not,” he replied with mock sincerity. “Just a precaution to ensure I don’t escape. Although why I would want to when I’m in such delightful company I don’t know.”
“Shut up and keep walking.”
“You know, there’s a lovely little park just across the street if you wanted to take the scenic route.”
“I don’t, and I said shut up.”
“These handcuffs really aren’t necessary you know. I could quite easily free myself if I so chose.”
“Then why don’t you?”
“You know why, Sydney.”
