“How do you suppose we ended up here?” Sydney asked, brushing her fingers lightly over the bare skin of Sark’s chest.
“Destiny,” he replied. “I always knew we were meant to be together. I believe I told you as much in fact.”
Sydney smiled. “But how could you have known?”
“I felt it. You did too, I know you did.”
It was true she had felt something the first time she’d set eyes on Sark. Something she’d never felt with Vaughn. They’d been through so much to get here. Sark may call it destiny but Sydney called it a miracle.
