He couldn’t move.
He couldn’t move and the whole world was moving in slow motion. He cursed his body, certain that if he could just will his limbs into loosening he’d be able to save Viggo. Instead all he could do was watch as the man he loved fell from his horse and hit the ground with a thud.
Why couldn’t he move? He watched as people rushed to Viggo, examining him and poking him. Then he saw Viggo stand, shaken but smiling. Suddenly his limbs were freed.
He ran to Viggo, pulled him into his arms and kissed him.
